Earl's Beer and Cheese, a cozy bar and restaurant on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, is world-renowned for their quirky food and first rate craft beer. Recognized year after year as one of New York's best places to try, Earl's has been featured in the Lonely Planet guidebook as a "Top Choice" and as one of "11 Hot Spots to Visit" in the Zagat Guide. Thrillist frequently recommends Earl's and rated Earl's Mac and Cheese one of the best in New York. Gothamist says Earl's classic New York State Cheddar sandwich is "a real treat" and the Mac and Cheese is "luscious". New York Magazine raves about the "crazy genius" menu concoctions. Eater NY calls Earl's NY State Cheddar one of 12 Killer New Fried Food Sandwiches. Even the venerable New York Times calls Earl's a NY Times Critics' Pick.

Newly expanded into a much larger space, Earl's Beer and Cheese is a beloved local hot spot and frequent destination for tourists alike. Serving the full menu until 11 PM every day, Earl's bar stays open late on weekends and serves a delicious booze-tinted brunch on Saturday and Sunday mornings and afternoons. Bon Appétit Magazine called Earl's Beer and Cheese one of the 14 Best Brunches in New York, including naming our TBD brunch sandwich, "the most ridiculous breakfast sandwich in the city".

No reservations are required and seating is delightfully communal. The homey, backwoods feeling presented by sibling co-owners Mike and Gina Cesari gives Earl's a decidedly unique environment in a wonderfully eclectic neighborhood.
